Kaplica Domu Dziecka

The beginning of the calendar year creates an opportunity to summarize and reflect on the events of the past year. We said goodbye to a couple of teenagers, who were either reunited with their families or started living on their own, we also took in several children, with the youngest one being only two years old. Some of the older children are good babysitters so they eagerly help the youngsters.

One of our skilled teachers Ms Sabina Sowinska, resumed her work with the acting group. The activity of our theater was launched in October with a play called "In the Land of Wonders". It's a play dedicated to teachers and caregivers. In November they presented another play to commemorate Polish Independence Day, and in December, Nativity presentation was the main play in our theater. With the play "In the land of wonders", the children were invited to perform in Warsaw (Sala Widowiskowa Gospodarstwa Pomocniczego), at Bemowo, Kocjana 3. Last Thursday of November we spent with our friends from the USA, Mr. Christopher Hoar and Colleen Cheney-Trawinski and the guests they have invited, including performing artists: Mr. Tadeusz Melon and his group and Ms Aleksandra Rybinska and her group. We also enjoyed the Thanksgiving Dinner sponsored partly by Hotel Marriot.

Another nice event was sponsored by the Golf Club in Rajszew. We were invited to take part in a short training in the Golf Academy; the workshop was led by Mr. Lukasz Wende and Mr. Peter Bronson. Usual event that is offered to our children by the group of professionals from the Bank Slaski with Mr. Dominik, took place on Saturday, 3 December. The guests were tutoring our children in various school subjects, and then invited the children to the cinema. Mrs. Antonina Krzyszton and the Children Choir from Skrzeszew, visited us before Christmas, making this special season even brighter.
